The team

Prof. Giovanni Vozzi is Full Professor at the Dpt. of Information Engineering and fellow of the Research Center “E. Piaggio”, University of Pisa.

Prof. Carmelo De Maria is Associate Professor at the Dpt. of Information Engineering and fellow of the Research Center “E. Piaggio”, University of Pisa.

Prof. Aurora De Acutis is Assistant Professor at the Dpt. of Information Engineering and fellow of the Research Center “E. Piaggio”, University of Pisa.

Prof. Gabriele Maria Fortunato is Assistant Professor at the Dpt. of Information Engineering and fellow of the Research Center “E. Piaggio”, University of Pisa.
His current research if focused on investigating the potential of the in situ bioprinting technology. Another main topic of his research is additive manufacturing techniques and their combination (extrusion-based 3D bioprinting, ink-jet printing, electrospinning) to fabricate multiscale and multimaterial scaffolds for tissue engineering applications. Moreover, he is also involved in the design and development of bioreactors for static and dynamic culture as well as open-source medical devices.
